Villagers are minor characters in the Golden Axe series. In Golden Axe they are the habitants from Turtle Village that appear running for their lives and being tortured by Death Adder's army.
In the beginning of Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder, several villagers are captured by Death Adder's forces and the heroes fight to rescue them.
Villagers also appear in Ax Battler: A Legend of Golden Axe and in the background of some stages from Golden Axe: The Duel.
